Also check your spam mail box settings to ensure that the emails enter your inbox and not your spam mailbox.

A6. UUN stands for Universal Username. Your UUN will be used throughout your University career and will always start with the letter "s" followed by the number 0. An example UUN would be "s0812345". This UUN is your username for accessing the EUCLID Portal and will remain so throughout your University career and cannot be changed.

A7. Please take a note of what the message is to help us identify and diagnose the solution to the problem. Additionally, please try to remember all of the steps you undertook to get you to the error - if you can replicate the problem, then contact with the EUCLID Support team and we will investigate it.

A8. There is not a specific printing function in the EUCLID portal. To print any page, document or report you should use the function in your web browser.

A9. This screen is common to all applicants, but does not need to be completed unless your application has been made through an agent. An agent is a service that some students opt to use that means your University application is submitted by an external body. It is primarily used by International Students.

A10. This must be done via UCAS Track.

A11. FSQ stands for Fee Status Questionaire. If the fee that a student will receive is unclear or the information was never completed they will be asked to fill in a FSQ. This can be accessed through the EUCLID Portal and you will receive an In tray message telling you if you need to complete a FSQ. If the students fee status information is retrieved from elsewhere then the FSQ will disappear from the EUCLID Portal hence why you may have an In tray message asking you to fill in a FSQ but no FSQ in the portal.

A12. The EUCLID Portal is likely to work on any settings but is designed and tested to work best with the following:

Operating System - Windows XP, Mac OS X, Linux (Fedora Core)

Internet Browser - Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2 (Windows XP), Firefox 2 (Mac OS X), Firefox 2 (Linux (Fedora Core))

Screen Resolution - The EUCLID Portal is best viewed and used with a screen resolution of 1280x1024. 1024x768 is effective, but some screens will require a horizontal scroll to view. A screen resolution of 800x600 is not recommended.

A13. During high usage times the portal may perform slower than expected, if so just refresh your web page and try again. If problems persist don't hesitate to contact EUCLID Support on EUCLIDSupport@ed.ac.uk
